A QUICK GUIDE

Draw, adjust, and lock.

  1. Start an outline. Choose a rectangle or L-shape, or draw your own by clicking corners.
  2. Drag a corner. Its adjoining walls follow at right angles; the rest of the outline stays in place. Drag past an exterior wall line to switch a recess and projection.
  3. Edit a length. Click a wall or its dimension. Enter feet and inches, such as 24.5 or 24′ 6″, and press Enter.
  4. Keep a length fixed. Click its padlock or select Lock this length. A locked length can block movement; unlock it to resize. Unlock all lengths clears every lock.

Add corners for recesses and projections. Remove corners to simplify the outline. Use Ctrl+Z to undo and F to fit the drawing.

Interior layout. Use Interior wall to tap connected runs, rooms and walkways. Finish run leaves an open end; Close shape encloses an item. Select a segment to measure its distance from a parallel exterior wall. Ends snap to nearby perpendicular walls; Detach ends releases them.

Fixed items and openings. Fixed item adds a movable box for an island or cabinet. Opening adds a simple gap: tap a wall or drag the tool onto it, then slide the gap along that wall. Lock placement protects these items while keeping the exterior editable.

Save file makes an editable backup, including locks. Open restores it. Your latest sketch is also saved in this browser when storage is available.
